Cynthia Preston's bio on GH's Official Site:

Cynthia Preston originated the role of the lethal Faith Rosco in December of 2002. Since her arrival in Port Charles, Faith has killed, threatened, plotted against or alienated almost everyone in the town. Cynthia's uncanny portrayal of this incredibly complex character is even more impressive since she is so vastly different in real life.

Cynthia wasn't one of those little girls who dreamed of becoming an actress. Rather she fell into acting quite by chance. It was while she was attending high school in Toronto, that her mother suggested a self-improvement course in order to help her overcome extreme shyness. As a result, Cynthia took up modeling at fifteen, and soon found herself working overseas in Japan for months at a time. Not long after graduating from high school, she auditioned for CBS talent scouts, and landed the role as Jill Clayburgh's daughter in the television movie, Miles to Go. She continued to find work in feature films and television. She landed a lead in the independent feature film Whale Music, which was nominated for Best Picture in Canada, and facilitated offers of representation in Los Angeles. She also did quite a bit of voice work on animated projects such as the popular Princess Zelda on the Mario Bros. cartoon series.

Cyndy's impressive list of television credits include a lead role in the television series Total Recall 2070, and guest-starring roles in such popular series as CSI, X-Files,Outer Limits, Andromeda and Viper, to name a few. She also starred in several television movies including Showtime's The Thin Blue Lie, and Lifetime's Facing the Enemy, among many others. Her feature film credits include The Event, which recently premiered at The Sundance Film Festival, Convergence, The Ultimate Weapon and Pin, to name a few.

Cyndy lives with her husband Kyle in the Los Angeles area. When she has free time, she enjoys scuba diving, taking photos, playing with her puppy and volunteering at the zoo.
