Christmas

It's hard to believe that the cherubic face of the 4-year old on Santa's lap grew into the less-than angelic Faith on GH. But she had a good reason to smile. Adopted into a family where she was the youngest of six children, Cynthia Preston remembers that the best Christmas memories ever were about opening the doors to her extended family.

"When I was little, Christmas was so much fun at my house because my family was so huge!" She laughs. "It was more magnified because my siblings were older. I have 17 nieces and nephews who were my age, and my brother and sister were all my friend's parents' ages. It was an odd mixture of brothers and sisters being like really close aunts and uncles or cousins, and my nieces and nephews were being like my brothers and sisters. But it was wonderful. There were so many people!" Preston can't help but get that childlike grin on her face when she reflects on the past. "Christmas was just so insane. There were so many presents under the tree that they spread out all over the floor and there was nowhere to walk. It was really lovely."
